Meet Our Team
Doug’s father Ken Barton together with long time friend Alf Giles founded G & B Motors in 1945. The business operated as mechanical engineers and repairers in the Wynnum area.
G & B Motors became franchised Holden dealers in their own right. Ken Barton remained Dealer Principal until 1964 when John Harrison was made a partner.
Doug Barton purchased the business and changed the name to Doug Barton Pty Ltd trading as Doug Barton Holden.
Doug Barton Pty Ltd was changed to Barton Motors Pty Ltd when Brian Oldfield became a shareholder & director. Mark Beitz joined the company in 2001. He was appointed General Manager in 2004 and Dealer Principal in 2007.
Mark Beitz became director and shareholder of Barton Motors Pty Ltd.
Doug Barton retired as Director and Shareholder.
